Description Overhead and Gantry Crane Safety COURSE OVERVIEW This lesson will teach you fundamentals of overhead and gantry crane safety, including the characteristics of overhead and gantry cranes, the requirements and procedures for inspecting the equipment, proper pre-planning procedures, and how to safely lift and move a load. Upon successful completion of this course, you should understand: The characteristics of overhead and gantry cranes How to inspect a crane prior to use The required actions to prepare for a safe lift How to safely lift, move and set down a load COURSE TOPICS Crane Fundamentals Inspections and Testing Lifting a Load ONLINE COURSE DURATION Approximately 20 minutes PASS MARK Testing conducted throughout this online course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are able to repeat the course twice if the pass mark is not achieved.
